CLEAR Buckhaven & Methil
Eligibility: All unemployed

Based in Buckhaven and Methil, CLEAR aims to improve the area and involve local people through environmental actions such as planting trees, bulbs, shrubs; maintaining community gardens; small landscape and site improvements; and heritage and community art. We run a community workshop carrying out bike repairs, woodwork, and a kitchen. Indoor activities include knitting and administrative support work in the Clear Hub. Volunteers and placements are welcome.

Fife Law Centre

We can provide advice, assistance and representation in respect of straightforward employment issues relating to employment law.

Frontline Fife
Eligibility: Long Term unemployed

Frontline Fife provides access to housing advice/advocacy as well as employability support. We provide 'tenancy health checks' to determine if any housing issues exist, aiming to prevent anyone losing their tenancy. We provide advice on housing rights and responsibilities and refer on for specialist Housing Advice when required. We link in with our other services including short-term Housing Support, Lay Respresentation at court (eviction) and addictions recovery support. Working with partners BRAG, Kingdom Works, Citizens Advice and Right Fife, Clued Up and Fife Voluntary Action.

Making It Work for Families
Eligibility: School Pupils only

This is a partnership project with staff from Fife Gingerbread, Clued Up, Citizens Advice & Rights Fife and the Fife Intensive Rehabilition & Substance Misuse Team. As a multi-agency staff team, we work together to provide whole family support, meeting the needs of individuals in the household and coordinating activity. This ranges from 1:1 support, family learning, groupwork, youth work, finanical inclusion and peer support opportunities.

Making It Work for Lone Parents
Eligibility: 25+ years old unemployed

The project is delivered in partnership with staff from Fife Gingerbread and Citizens Advice & Rights Fife. We offer lone parents holistic support to secure, sustain or improve employment in mid-life. Making it Work for Lone Parents is delivered at a pace which meets the needs of each individual and is centred arounf one to one emotional, specialist support and group work. Additionally, we have a network of volunteers who will provide buddy support to lone parents to help them grow in confidence and overcome isolation.

Fife International Forum - NOLB Pre-Academy Programme

A 6-week programme and 4-week work placement. We address expectations from prospective employers - teamwork, self-management, communication. prioritsing, respect, reliability, etc. Tailored person-centred programme includes: coaching, ESOL classes, SDS meetings, CV writing courses and links to Fife College. Continuous support throughout the programme and our aim is to nurture aspiration to meet opportunity.

Fife Council - Employability and Supported Employment Service - Prescription for Work

We encourage people to discuss the impact of their disability or health issue in the workplace, identify solutions that may belp them stay in work or return to work and engage with employers to negotiate accommodations or adjustments that help people sustain their jobs. We also help employers to improve their response to people with disabilitiees and health conditions by supporting them to create and sustain mentally healthy workplaces and by providing disability awareness training for staff.

Brag Enterprises Ltd - Square Start

A fully inclusive service for families including lone parents across Fife, working in partnership with Frontline Fife, Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) and Youth 1st. Concentrating on the makeup of the family and ensuring all supported to provide increased aspirations and outcomes. Working with a blend of 1:1 and group work designed to: * Breakdown barriers either perceived or actual * Digitally include families * Reduce social isolation * Improve mental wellbeing * Increase confidence in children * Increase confidence in adults parenting

Trust in Fife - The Cairn Centre

Retail outlet providing good quality, pre-used goods to homeless clients, those most vulnerable within the local community and the general public. The outlet provides training opportunities and employemnt with volunteering roles in the shop and with the collection /delivery service.

Citizens Advice and Rights Fife - Transition to Employment

Benefit calculations, better off calculations and financial awareness all make it easier to start and retain employment. A dedicated worker will assist clients to understand how employment affects them and will support them as they take on employment. This project is run with the following partners: BRAG, Frontline Fife, Kingdom Works and Clued Up.
